1/2 c white rice,
1/2 c sugar,
4 cups milk,
1 egg,
1tsp. vanilla,
1 cup milk,
1/2 c raisins , pinch salt and nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Mix rice, sugar and 4 cups of milk in a covered pan and cook slowly for 1 hour, stirring often till rice is very tender.

Combine egg with 1 cup milk, vanilla ,salt,and nutmeg. Stir into hot rice mixture and continue cooking till it just starts to boil. Add raisins. It thickens as it cools.
