2 c. navy beans, dry
1/2 lb. nitrate-free bacon
1 onion, diced
3 T. molasses

1/4 t. pepper

1 T. worchestershire sauce
1/4 c. brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Rinse beans well. Soak overnight. Cook beans until tender and drain, reserve liquid. Combine beans, onion and bacon in a heavy stockpot that can be put in the oven, cook until bacon is done, do not drain. In a separate sauce pan, combine the rest of the ingredients. Bring to a boil and pour over beans. Pour just enough of the reserved bean juice to cover beans. Cover with foil and bake 3-4 hours, peeking and stirring occasionally. Add more liquid if needed to prevent drying out.
