glass gallon jar with a lid
4 qts. water
1 c. salt
1 qt. white vinegar
1 whole garlic head, chopped
fresh dill (6-7 bunches)
cucumbers (enough to make a gallon jar)

Directions:
Directions:
Boil together first 3 ingredients, then cool to lukewarm. In a large glass gallon jar, or glass food storage container, place cut up cucumbers, garlic and dill in layers. Pour cooled liquid over the top and refrigerate for 3 weeks. Then, they are ready to eat! Enjoy!

These pickles will keep in the refrigerator for months (if they last that long!) You can make these pickles with small cucumbers or wedges, rounds, or spears of bigger cucumbers. This recipe will make a lot of juice. I usually end up putting a few more jars in the fridge to share!
