"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
3/4 c. sugar 2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder, sifted together
Then add: 1 c. milk 1 Tbsp. melted butter 1 3/4 c. whole cranberries (uncooked)
Sauce: 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup butter 3/4 cup whipping cream (do not whip)
Bake in 10 x 10 cake pan at 350º for about 30 minutes. Serve with warm sauce poured over individual slices.
Although this says "pudding dessert" it makes a beautiful white cake with the red cranberries. The warm butter sauce on top is to die for. I remember my mother making this when we were growing up at special occasions such as Christmas.
