"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
2 lb. ground beef 1 can tomatoes 2 T. onion 2 eggs Cracker crumbs Salt Pepper Bell Peppers (optional)
Mix and shape into a loaf. Save out part of tomato juice and pour over top of loaf. I assume you would bake this at 350ºF for about an hour or so.
Mom made the BEST meatloaf and even though I use this recipe, I can't make a decent meatloaf! This was written by Mom in pencil on a recipe card and I think it was submitted as part of one of my wedding showers in 1960.
