Sugar Cookies with Orange Juice Frosting Recipe

Ingredients: Cookies: 3 c. powdered sugar 2 c. softened margarine/butter 2 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 5 c. flour 2 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. cream of tartar
Frosting: 2 c. powdered sugar 1/2 c. softened margarine/butter 1 tsp. vanilla 1 Tbl. orange juice concentrate milk food coloring

Directions:Cookies: 1. Mix first four ingredients, then mix in remaining ingredients. 2. Cover and refrigerated at least 2 hours. 3. Heat oven to 375ºF. 4. Roll dough 1/4 inch thick on lightly floured surface. 5. Cut into shapes and bake on lightly greased baking sheet until light brown, 7-8 minutes.
Frosting: Combine all ingredients and add milk to desired consistency. Color as desired. |

Notes: This is my mom's favorite sugar cookie recipe and claims that she will never eat a sugar cookie without Orange Juice Frosting. This past Christmas I made a different sugar cookie recipe and used Cream Cheese Frosting, I couldn't figure out what I did wrong, it just doesn't taste like Christmas without some of my mom's Orange Juice Frosting.
