2 1/2 cups flour, 2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 egg, 1/4 lb butter, 1 1/2 cups buttermilk, 1 cup raisins, 1 tbsp caraway seeds (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Beat together eggs and buttermilk. Mix dry ingredients. Alternate dry and wet ingredients, beating until well mixed. Place dough in greased bread pan 3/4 filled. Bake 1 hour at 350.
