1/2 cup butter, softened

1/2 cup white sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. ground chile pepper

1/2 tsp. ground black pepper

1/2 tsp. ground ginger

1/4 tsp. ground cloves

1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper

1 egg

1 T. milk

2 cups All-Purpose flour

Black Pepper

10 ounces bittersweet chocolate (Baking chocolate)

1 T. butter

Directions:
In a large bowl, beat butter for 30 seconds. Add sugars, baking powder, chile pepper, black pepper, ginger, cloves, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper. Beat until well mixed. Beat in egg and milk. Beat in flour 1/2 cup at a time. Shape dough into a ball. divide dough in half. Shape each half into a 12 inch long roll. Wrap in a plastic wrap and chill for 4 to 24 hours.

Preheat oven to 325º. Cut rolls into 1/4 inch thick slices. Place slices 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle cookies with ground black pepper. Bake for 8 - 10 minutes or until edges are golden. Cool.

In a small saucepan, combine chocolate and butter. Cook until melted. dip each cookie halfway into the chocolate mixture. Place dipped cookie on wax paper and allow the chocolate to set. Enjoy! Can be put in the freezer for up to 3 months.
