4 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tall can evaporated milk, dash of salt, 1/2 lb butter or oleo, 3 cups semi sweet chocolate pieces, 2 cups chopped walnuts, 1 tbsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, evaporated milk & dash of salt in a lg saucepan. Cook over medium heat 14 minutes. Stir -Timing starts after mixture comes to a full boil. Stir occasionally. While syrup is cooking, place butter, chocolate pieces & a dash of salt in a large mixer bowl. After syrup is cooked, pour over the chocolate butter mixture in bowl & blend at low speed at first then beat at high speed 10 minutes. Add nuts & vanilla.,stir to blend. Pour fudge into greased 13 x 9 inch pan & chill in refrigerator until firm. Small size is better
