While bacon is still cold & firm slice entire pound into thirds, so that each stip is now 3 short strips. Wrap each smokie with a strip of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place in crockpot and cover with brown sugar. Cook on high about 4 hours. This is very easy & always a big hit!
