1/2 gallon milk
8 eggs, separated
1 C sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Warm the milk and sugar in a pan. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. In another bowl, beat the egg yolks. Blend the egg yolks into the milk and sugar. Fold in the egg whites. Cook slowly in a double boiler until thickened. Cool. Add vanilla.
