1/2 lb. (2) sticks butter or margarine
1 cup shortening
3 cup sugar
5 eggs
3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 cup milk
1 T. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter, sugar and shortening together in large bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift dry ingredients together in separate bowl. Add alternately with milk and vanilla to first four ingredients. Pour into pan which has been sprayed with Pam. Bake at 325º for 1 hr. and 30-40 minutes. The cake is done when toothpick comes out clean.
