1/2 cup walnuts, finely chopped
1/2 pound of chicken livers
1/4 cup minced onion
3 TBSP butter
1/4 tsp butter
1/4 tsp curry powder
1/4 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup dry vermouth
8 oz cream cheese
rye bread or crackers

Directions:
Directions:
Toast walnuts lightly in pan for 3-5 minutes. Saute livers and onions in butter. Add curry, paprika, and salt. Cool lightly. Using food processor or blender, blend liver mixture until smooth. Add dry vermouth and cream cheese. Blend well. Stir in walnuts and place in serving container. Chill at least 5-6 hours. Serve with rye bread or favorite crackers. can be kept in freezer for weeks.
