1 pound (24) asparagus spears
1/4 cup butter
2 cups sliced mushrooms (1/2 pound), optional
2 tbsp. country dijon mustard with horseradish
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. finely chopped garlic

Directions:
In a 10" skillet place asparagus spears; add enough water to cover. Bring to a full boil and cover over medium heat until asparagus is crisply tender ( 5-7 minutes ). Drain; return to skillet. Add all remaining ingredients, pushing asparagus to the side just until butter is melted. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until heated through ( 5-7 minutes ).
To reduce fat- omit butter substitute with water , add 3 tbsp. mustard, 1 tbsp. soy sauce
