1/2 pounds soda crackers, crushed
1 pint fresh oysters
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup sliced celery
1/4 cup butter
milk
1/2 cup evaporated milk

Directions:
Directions:
Place layer of cracker crumbs in a well-buttered deep casserole. Add layer of oysters; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add layer of celery; dot with butter. Repeat layers until all oysters are used, ending with crackers on top. Pour milk over ingredients until almost covered; top with evaporated milk. Bake in 350º oven for 1 hour. Large oysters may be sliced, if desired.
