1/4 cup butter
1 cup chopped onion
1 garlic clove crushed
1 -1 1/2 tsp. curry powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp. coriander
1/4 - 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
3 cups chicken broth
1 3/4 (16 oz. can) solid packed pumpkin
1 cup half and half

Directions:

saucepan melt butter and saute onion and garlic until soft, add curry, salt coriander, red pepper. Cook one minute. Add broth, simmer boil gently 15 to 20 minutes. Stir in pumpkin and half and half. Cook 10 minutes until creamy

garnish with sour cream and chives

Mom brought this up to me when she stayed with me after Amy was born. She had it at a University of Iowa tailgate party at Robin Von Maur's house! I had her get the recipe from Robin!!!! awesome! Such a great memory!
