1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, peanut butter, sugar, egg & vanilla until light & fluffy. Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt, blending well; stir into creamed mixture. Cover dough tightly and refrigerate several hours or overnight.
Shape dough into balls about 3/4 inch in diameter. Place balls 3 inches apart on greased cookie sheet; flatten each cookie with tines of a fork. Bake at 375 for 8-12 minutes or until set, but not hard. Yield: About 4 dozen
