1 package chocolate cake mix
1 package ( 14 oz ) caramels
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 ( 14 oz ) can eagle brand milk
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Pour 2 cups of cake batter into a greased and floured 9 X 13 pan. Bake 15 minutes. In a heavy saucepan, over low heat melt caramels with butter or margarine. Remove from heat; add milk. Mix well.Spread caramel mixture over cake. Spread remaining cake batter over caramel. Top with nuts. Bake 30 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched. Cool
