cup butter
1 large yellow onion sliced
teaspoon salt
teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 pound green beans, rinsed & trimmed

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in a skillet. Add the onion slices and cook over medium heat for 10 min, or until brown. Do not stir. Sprinkle the onion with the salt, pepper and brown sugar. Reduce the heat to low and continue to cook, stirring frequently for 30 min. Add the green beans. Increase the heat to medium and cook, stirring frequently, until the green beans are coated with butter and onion. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, for 15 to 20 min. or until the green beans are browned and tender.
