4 c. water
1 sp.salt
1 c. quick grits
4 eggs, lightly beaten
1 lb. pork sausage, browned
1 1/2 c. finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 c.milk
1/2 c. butter or margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Grease 3 qt baking dish. Bring water and salt to boil, slowly stir in grits. Cook 4-5 minutes; remove pot from heat. Stir small amount of grits into eggs, then pour back into pot; add sausage, 1 C of cheese, milk and butter and blend well. Pour into baking dish, sprinkle remaining cheese on top. Bake for 1 hour or until cheese is golden brown.
