1 16-oz. can cherries

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Melt butter in Pyrex dish. In a bowl mix the cherries with 1 cup of sugar and set aside.
Mix salt, flour, 3/4 cup sugar, baking powder and milk. Pour mixture over hot melted butter. Pour sweetened cherries over batter. DO NOT STIR. Bake for 1 hour. Batter will rise above the fruit during cooking.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
You can use peaches, or any fruit you like instead of cherries.
I usually use closer to 2/3 cup milk. Adjust as needed. If you double the recipe, double everything except the butter.
