2 eggs slightly beaten 1 3/4 cups pure pumpkin 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp ginger 1/4 tsp powdered cloves 1 2/3 cup evaporated milk or light cream 1 (9") deep pastry shell
Preheat oven to 425º. Mix ingredients in order given and pour into unbaked pastry shell. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350º and continue to bake for 45 minutes or until knife inserted into center comes out clean.
