3 tbsp. oil
1 1/2 c. diced yellow onion
4 garlic cloves-pressed
1 1/2 lbs. fresh lamb-ground
2 tbsp. chili powder
2 large cans diced tomatoes w juice
1 tsp.ground cumin
1 tsp.ground coriander
1 tsp.(heaping) sugar
1 1/2 tsp. ground oregano
1 1/2 tsp. Hot Sauce
salt to taste
1 c. H2O
1 c. red wine
3 15-0z. cans black beans
diced onions,freshly grated white cheddar,
fresh cilantro-chopped for garnish

Directions:
-brown lamb in skillet 10 min and drain
-add lamb,all ingredients(except beans and garnish
-cook 1 hour
-add the beans,cook 30 min,adjust H2O as needed
-garnish and serve
-a crock pot can be used(instead) after lamb is browned

-for all of the faint of heart,freshly ground turkey
can be substituted for the lamb
-consider adding 1 tbsp.chopped pimentos to
