½ cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon almond extract
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon baking powder
1 cup toasted, sliced almonds
¾ cup sun-dried cranberries
1 ½ cups white-chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 300 f. Grease a large cookie sheet. Cream butter with sugars. Add eggs and extract and beat on low speed. Sift flour, salt, and baking powder into mixing bowl and beat into the butter mixture. Stir in almonds, cranberries, and white-chocolate chips. Drop onto cookies sheet, flattening slightly. Bake for 20 minutes, until golden. Cool on wire racks.
