6 whole boneless, skinless chicken breasts, halved (or thighs)
1 cup + 1 tablespoon flour, divided
1/3 cup butter, melted
12 thin slices prosciutto ham (or thinly sliced ham)
6 slices provolone cheese
1/4 cup shallots, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced
1/2 cup apple juice + 1/2 cup apple juice, divided
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 cup cream (or milk)
salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:
Directions:
1. Lightly coat chicken in 1 cup flour. Melt butter in skillet and brown chicken. Arrange in a 13" x 9" baking dish.

2. Top each breast with prosciutto and 1/2 slice cheese. In same skillet, saute shallots and garlic until soft. Add mushrooms, 1/2 cup apple juice, broth and herbs. Bring to a boil and cook 10 minutes.

3. In a separate dish, blend 1 tablespoon flour and small amount of remaining 1/2 cup of apple juice. Pour into hot sauce. Stir in remaining apple juice and cream. Season with salt and pepper.

4. Pour over chicken and bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes.
