• 3 cups pecan or walnut halves (unsalted, unroasted)
• ½ stick (4 tbsp) butter
• 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
• 1 tsp cayenne pepper
• 2 tsps freshly ground pepper (white is best)
• 1 tsp ground allspice
• ½ tsp salt
• 2 tsps sugar

Spread nuts on cookie sheet and toast in a preheated 350 degree oven for apprx. 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned and crunchy. Rely on your nose. The
nuts will begin to smell nutty and toasty.

Melt the butter over low heat. Blend remaining ingredients in a small bowl. Turn the nuts into a large bowl and toss with the butter and spices until the nuts are coated. Spread out onto the cookie sheet to dry before storing in an airtight
container. Keeps for 2 weeks in container.
