1 c. ketchup
1 c. water
1 med. onion, finely chopped
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. worcestershire sauce
2 Tbsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. ground red pepper

Directions:
Directions:
In medium saucepan, stir all ingredients together. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat and boil gently, uncovered, for about 20 minutes or till slightly thickened and reduced to about 2 cups.

Brush over chicken or ribs last 10 - 15 minutes of cooking (grilling); or mix with cooked ground beef for sloppy joes; or serve with meatballs; or pour (without cooking) over roast, etc., cover and bake till meat is done.
