2/3 cup water, 1/2 cup vinegar, 1/4 cup catsup, 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, few drops of hot pepper sauce(optional), 1 tsp paprika, 2 pounds brown sugar, 1/4 cup butter or margarine, 2 Bermuda onions and 2 cloves of garlic chopper, 5 lbs spareribs, cut in pieces 2 1/2 inch by 1 inch

Combine first 6 ingredients -mix well. Add onions & saute until tender. Bring to boil, then simmer 20 minutes. Place spareribs & sauce in shallow pan. Bake uncovered, basting occasionally at 400 for 1 1/2 hours or until fork tender.
