1 cup warm milk, 1 cake or package yeast, 4 tbsp soft butter, 2 tbsp sugar, 1/2 tsp salt. 1 egg, 2 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Put warm milk, yeast in mixing bowl. Let stand 5 minutes, then stir well. Add butter, sugar, salt, egg. Beat very well until thoroughly blended. Add flour and continue to beat until well blended. Cover bowl, set in warm place and let rise about 45 minutes. Stir down the batter and fill well greased muffin pans a little more than full. Let rise again in warm place until pans are full about 45 minutes. Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 400
