1 Baked 10" piecrust
1 1/2 C. sugar
2 1/2 Tbs cornstarch (mound these!)
1 Tbs flour
3/4 C. cocoa
4 C. milk
3 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3 Tbs margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients together in heavy cooking pot. Add milk and whisk into dry ingredients. Place on medium heat and stir constantly until it begins to boil and becomes thick. Remove from heat.

Have eggs whisked and place some of the hot filling in the eggs, whisk up again and return to pot and place back on heat. Stir constantly and cook a minute or two more to cook the eggs in the pudding. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and butter.

Pour into baked pie crust and top with meringue.... or put plastic wrap on top of pudding and cool. Place whipped topping on cooled pie.

This pie was modified years ago to satisfy Grandpa Jim's intense love for chocolate. Very chocolately and delicious!
