2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon soda
3 cups butter
1 cup raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Add to this recipe figs, nutmeg, allspice, and cinnamon to your taste. Add enough flour to make a stiff dough. Bake in moderate oven until done.
