Personal Notes:
In the note attached with his recipes, Richard said, "I told Barbara I wasn't going to dance next year. Each year I do I have a heart attack. I danced with Judy and had open heart surgery; the next year I danced with Bonnie and a week later I had another attack. I have quit dancing." Want to bet he will dance this year at our 50th? In the choice of sitting it out or dancing in life, we will always remember that Richard chose to dance.

Memories: I’ll bet there were more people in the Forestry Club than in the 90 Club. Seems most of the boys joined the Forestry Club to get out of school. Who set all those fires so the Forestry Club could get out of class? I’m sure some of you boys know who that was. Seems there was one field in Crab Orchard that "caught fire" every year, and those brave souls would leave class and hurry to put out the fire. I don't think there has been a fire in that particular field since 1961. Wonder why? John Hughes tells us that he lost a small can of peaches from his lunch one year and found it the next year while fight a fire in the same field. He ate it but wonders now why it didn't kill him.
