Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 medium red onion
1 Tbsp. olive or vegetable oil
1 lb. sirloin-tip steak strips, 1” thick
1 garlic clove, pushed through a press
1 tsp. dried oregano
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 tomatoes, sliced
4 pocketless pita breads, warmed
1/4 cup reduced-fat creamy Italian or ranch dressing

Directions:
Directions:
Thinly slice onion. Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Increase heat to high. Add steak strips. Cook 2-3 minutes, turning once, until browned on both sides and cooked to taste. Add garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper and cook 30 seconds more, stirring to coat beef and onion. Place a few tomato slices on each pita. Divide beef mixture evenly over tomatoes. Drizzle with dressing. Roll up, tucking in filling.

Kid-friendly tip: Instead of beef gyros, try slices of deli turkey or ham. Small-size pita pockets are also a good choice for kids – they’re neat and easy to handle.
