1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup shortening, 1 egg, 1/2 cup molasses, 1 cup raisins, 1/2 cup hot water, 3 cups flour, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 heaping tsp baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together the sugar, shortening and egg. Add molasses, raisins and the hot water. Add dry ingredients which have been sifted together. Drop by teaspoon and bake for 20 min 400º.
