1 3/4 c. sugar
1 c. butter
2 eggs (beaten)
2 Tbs. milk
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt
(Optional Items)
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. raisins
1 c. coconut
1 c. mixed candied fruit
Chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar; add beaten eggs and mix. Sift flour with cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Add butter mixture, alternating with milk; mix well. If using optional items, add to mix. Roll into small balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Flatten with fork dipped in milk. Bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes. Makes 10 dozen.
