1/2 lb. butter or margarine
1 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. parsley
4 Tbsp. chopped green onion
1 Loaf French or Italian bread

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients. Spread on sliced French or Italian bread. Wrap in foil, leaving top uncovered. Place in hot oven (425) for 15 minutes.

Use whatever herbs you have on hand, including garlic and basil. If you want to toast the bread, add parmesan cheese to the mixture if you like, and lay the slices on a baking sheet to bake.
