Ingredients:  
1/2 stick butter or oleo softened
3/4 cup of sugar
1 12 oz. can evaporated milk
1/2 can water
2 eggs slightly beaten with a fork
1 T vanilla
8 slices of dried white bread with the crust cut off and cut into cubes

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.
1. cream butter and sugar until creamy
2. combine all other ingredients
3. add bread to the mix and coat well
4. pour into 1-1/2 quart dish
5. bake for 60 minutes
6. test with a knife-blade should be dry when done
