Memories: from James Cline:

My dad would not let me get my driving license until I was 18. The day I turned 18 (8/13), I could not get anyone to take me to Norton to take the test. I called Sue and she came running in George’s 55 dodge. Went to Norton, passed the test, and came home. Never had driven the car and aced it the first time. Sue, I know I have said it a million times, but just one more time, THANK YOU.

Our class seemed to have real issues with cars, didn't they? Charlie Eblen had to "borrow" cars to learn to drive, Jim couldn't get anyone to take him for his license, Mick and Maynard talk about not having a car, and Kaye and Sue used to drive the school car, sometimes with permission.
