2 c. self-rising flour
2 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. butter or margarine
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in saucepan. Add sugar. Blend in eggs, and vanilla. Add flour gradually. Mix well. Stir in nuts and chips. Place in an oblong pan and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

When our daughter, Glenna was little her hair was very blonde. As a nickname her dad would call her "Blondie". When we were given this recipe, Glenna thought it was so neat that a recipe had been named after her and she continued to think this until she was old enough to read and understand that there were more "Blondies" than her.
