1 (12 oz.) pkg. farfel noodles (i.e., Manishevitz Barley Shaped Egg Noodles®)
½ stick non-dairy margarine
1 envelope Lipton’s® dry onion soup
1 small can mushroom stems and pieces
¼ cup soy sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Boil farfel per package instructions. Drain. In a pan, melt margarine. Add cooked farfel, onion soup and mushrooms. Mix ingredients. Add soy sauce for flavor and color. Transfer to greased 2 quart baking dish and bake 45 minutes in 350⁰ oven. Serve as a side dish.

Farfel is a Jewish barley-shaped egg noodle. My bubbe (grandmother) invented this recipe as a different kind of recipe to use instead of rice and potatoes for a side dish at dinner time.
