"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Herb Hummus
½ cup parsley leaves (I would do about 1/4 not ½ cup)
1/3 cup basil leaves (optional)
2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
1 Tbsp. Pine nuts
2 Tbsp. Lemon juice
2 Tbsp. Tahini (sesame seed paste)
½ tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Black pepper
1 - 15 ounce can Garbanzo beans (chick peas)
2 Garlic cloves (add more if you’d like!)

Put all ingredients in a food processor or blender and process until smooth. Good on fresh veggies, crackers, pita bread, or any bread.
