2 cups white sugar
2 rounded tablespoons butter
2 eggs
5 tablespoons cocoa
1 cup hot water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup sour milk
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Combine cocoa and hot water and cook until smooth and thick. Cool. Add this mixture to the sugar and butter. Combine other ingredients in order listed. Pour into two 8 or 9-inch round greased cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool.
Add between the layers the following pineapple cake filling when cake is cool:

Pineapple filling:

1 square semi-sweet chocolate
4 tablespoons flour
1 cup water
1/2 cup white sugar
3 slices chopped pineapple

Cook until thick (except the pineapple). Add about 3 slices of chopped pineapple. When cool put between layers of cake. Use white powdered sugar icing for top.
Serves 12.
