1 1/4 C. butter or margarine- softened
2 C. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 C. flour
3/4 C. Cocoa
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 C. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and gradually blend into the creamed mixture. Stir in nuts if desired.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 8-9 minutes. Do not overbake - cookies will be soft. They will puff during baking and flatten upon cooling.
