1 & 1/2 cups firmly-packed brown sugar
2 tbsp flour
1 cup evaporated milk
1 egg [well beaten ]

Directions:
Directions:
Combine brown sugar & flour in saucepan. Add milk. Cook over low heat, stirring until dissolved. Remove from heat & slowly add egg stirring constantly. Pour into 8" unbaked pie shell. Bake in 400º oven-10 min. Reduce heat to 300º & continue baking for another 30 min. or so until filling thickens.
I also use a whisk to stir the ingredients instead of a spoon.
