1 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. chopped carrots
1 small pkg. frozen peas
1 c. half & half
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 c. chopped chicken
3 c. chicken broth
1 can cream of chicken soup

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion, celery and carrot in butter for 10 minutes. Add broth, cream of chicken soup, half and half, then chicken and peas.

DUMPLINGS:
1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 1/2 T. shortening
3/4 c. milk
Cut shortening into dry ingredients. Mix dry ingredients with liquid and mix just until moistened. Drop by teaspoonfuls into boiling broth. Dip spoon into the broth first so that the dough slides off easily. Cover with lid and don't break the seal for 15 minutes.
