2C Self Rising yellow corn meal
1C Self Rising flour
1 Tsp Baking Soda
1 egg
2Tbls Butter Flavored Shortening
11/2 C Buttermilk



Directions:
Directions:

Melt shortening in cast iron pan.

Mix dry ingredients together.
Add egg and buttermilk, mix until smooth add more milk if needed. Mix in melted shortening. Pour into cast iron pan. Bake at 425* for about 30 min until golden brown.
