1 c. margarine or butter, softened
1 c. butter, softened
2 c. granulated sugar
2 c. packed brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
5 c. blended oatmeal ( process oatmeal in food processor to get smaller particles of oats, but not a fine consistency)
4 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
12 oz. semisweet chocolate chips
12 oz. milk chocolate chips
3 c. chopped pecans or walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream margarine, butter, & sugars until fluffy. Blend in eggs & vanilla. Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, & salt together; stir into creamed mixture until just incorporated. Stir in oatmeal, chocolate chips, & nuts; stirring just enough to incorporate into dough. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375º for 6-10 minutes.
