Cake ingredients:
1/2 C shortening
1 C sugar
2 eggs
1 C milk
2 1/2 C flour
2 tsp baking powder
Dash of vanilla
Dash of salt
Filling ingredients:
1/2 C brown sugar
1/2 C nuts
1 tsp cinnamon
2 Tbsp flour
1 Tbsp butter
(Mix well)

Directions:

CAKE: Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour half of mixture into prepared 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle half of filling mixture on top. Add dots of jelly or jam. Spread remainder of cake mix on top and sprinkle remainder of filling mixture on top of that. Bake at 350º until done (approx 30 minutes). Serve warm.
