2 pounds fresh kielbasa
1 large sweet onion diced 1"
can of plum tomatoes in thick puree
2 lbs of fresh mixed mushrooms - use 3 - 4 types (or equivalent wild dry reconstituted - pinkies, rams head, etc.)
beef broth
1 cup red wine

Directions:
Directions:
Cook kielbasa through, cool, slice to bite size. Saute onions in vegetable oil until nearly done, add mushrooms (after reconstituting) and saute. Tear or cut plum tomatoes into small strips. Pour everything into slow cooker. Add wine and beef broth to cover. Simmer for 3 - 4 hours. Great served over kluski (polish noodles) or egg noodles.

I adapted this from my Aunt Joan's and Aunt Mary's recipe for kielbasa stew. They added bell peppers and used locally picked wild mushrooms from Hazleton. Every time we make it, it comes out differently but it seems as though everyone enjoys it.
