4 eggs, beaten
1 Cup light corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla
2 Tbsp vanilla
1 stick butter, melted
1 Cup sugar
1 Cup pecans, chopped
1/2 Cup chocolate chips
Unbaked Pie Crust

Directions:
Directions:
Place the chocolate chips in the bottom of the unbaked pie crust. Mix the remaining ingredients and pour into the pie shell. Bake at 350º for 50 minutes (may need a little longer).

To be a true Kentucky Derby pie, you are supposed to use 2 Tbsp. Kentucky Bourbon, but I substitute that with vanilla and it tastes great.

My Mom gave me this recipe and it's a HIT every time I serve it.
